Question: Should my child attend PSR?
Answer: YES! If your family are registered parishioners of OLMC and your child does not attend a Catholic school or is home-schooled, he/she should attend Faith Formation (PSR).
***If your child is attending Faith Formation (PSR) and is in 2nd or 8th grade, they are required to be registered for BOTH Faith Formation AND Sacramental Preparation.
Question: My child attends a catholic day school. Does he/she need to attend Faith Formation (PSR)?
Answer: No, he/she is not required to register for Faith Formation. However, if the student is in 2nd or 8th grade and the family are registered parishioners of OLMC, they are required to register for sacramental preparation with OLMC.
QUESTION: What are the fees?
Answer: Full payment of fees is due at the time of registration. If your family is experiencing financial difficulties, please reach out to the PSR office immediately.
You may complete a registration form in person and submit it to guarantee your child's registration. Email Mrs. Nelson for a registration form.
Faith Formation (PSR) registration fee:
(These fees are separate from the Sacramental fees)
Kindergarten:
- $30/child
1st thru 8th grade:
- $80/ First Child
- $115/ 2 children
- $150/ 3 or more children
Sacramental preparation:
- $75/ 2nd grade (First Holy Communion)
- $100/ 8th grade (Confirmation-2 year program)
PSR Catechists and Confirmation team members: Your fees are waived if you have children or grandchildren in PSR or Sacramental sessions.
ALL registrations, fees, and baptismal certificates are due no later than Friday, August 26, 2024. Contact Mrs. Nelson if you need to register after August 26.
Drop off a check made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel with a memo note of PSR fees or Sacramental prep. fees.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: **A copy of the baptismal certificate is REQUIRED of each student entering kindergarten, if they are registering for the first- time or if the child will be in a sacramental preparation year (2nd or 8th grade) **
